The Ballyhoura mountain biking trails are the largest in Ireland. It’s a favourite among our staff to venture out to, and below we explain why we encourage customers who are purchasing a mountain bike<\/a> to do the same!<\/p>\n\n\n

With over 90km of trails full of twists, turns, board walks, climbs and more there is plenty to discover. With so much to explore and scenic views to see you’ll never cease to enjoy a trip! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trails themselves were designed by Daffyd Davis who has made his name creating MTB trails all around the World and credited with growing the MTB scene thanks to his ingenuity. <\/p>\n\n\n

With 5 loops of varying length and difficulty there is a route for everyone! If you’re new to mountain biking the 7k is perfect to help get to grips with your new wheels. Working your way up the loops is great fun and before you know it you’ll be conquering the notorious 51km Castlepook route!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue loops are considered moderate to difficult whilst red routes are for proficient riders only which are far more challenging. MTB World Champion Ois\u00edn O’Callaghan learnt and fine tuned his craft on these same trails so garner inspiration from him!<\/p>\n\n\n

Located across 3 counties makes it easily accessible to many across Munster and beyond. Ballyhoura can be reached via the M7, N20, N24, N73 and M8 so it’s simple to reach!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s important to note Ballyhoura is not just loved by the mountain biking community and adventure seekers! There is numerous walking trails available for those who want to explore on foot and be awed by the ancient woodland and beautiful mountainous scenery in a more relaxing vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage all Mountain Bikers and those curious about riding off road to head to Ballyhoura. Make use of these spectacular trails on the doorstep of Munster which are the envy of many around the World!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
