Most E-Bikes have varying levels of \u2018pedal assistance\u2019 and you can even turn it off should you wish for a more challenging cycle.<\/li><li><strong>How often do you need to charge an electric bike battery? <\/strong>It depends on the motor, however generally they can reach around 100km before requiring a charge. That\u2019s the equivalent of cycling from Cork City to Youghal and back!<\/li><li><strong>How long does it take to charge an electric bike? <\/strong>It generally takes 3-5 hours to fully charge an e-bikes battery.<\/li><li><strong>How Many Types of E-Bike?<\/strong> We have a varied range of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theedge-sports.com\/bikes\/electric-bikes\" target=\"_blank\">Electric Bikes<\/a> available. Some warm soapy water and a sponge will do the trick. You can also purchase specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theedge-sports.com\/accessories\/cleaning-products\">cleaning products<\/a>.<\/li><li><strong>How do I keep my bike safe? <\/strong>A good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theedge-sports.com\/cycling\/accessories\/locks\">quality lock<\/a>\/s is <em>key. <\/em>Also think about where you\u2019re locking the bike. It\u2019s best to do it in a public place with CCTV<em>.\u00a0 <\/em>Thieves go for easy pickings and the best deterrent is a strong lock in public view. A motor\u2019s quality would generally correlate with the price of the e-bike; with the top models often equipped with the best in class motors such as those manufactured by Bosch.<\/li><li><strong>What\u2019s the maintenance cost of running an E-Bike? <\/strong>It\u2019s similar to that of a regular bicycle with the main difference being having to replace the battery after a few years of use.
