The Assos T neoPro S7 cycling bib are the successors to the very popular Uno S5, offering the rider the finest combination of luxury and performance at a more than sensible price tag. The Assos S7 line takes over from S5 range, which has been the ‘go to’ bib short for the last few years, winning more test awards than any other bib short.
How do you improve on the world's ultimate cycling shorts? This was the question Assos had to address, their apparel engineers and Werksmannschaft test team set to work to deliver a game-changing short which offers; lower weight, less pressure on the body, less friction, more freedom of movement, improved aerodynamics.
A higher level of spandex used gives an impressive level of return stretch, this in turn, minimises muscle fatigue as road vibration is soaked up with the supportive, seamless panelling.
The Assos team used the 2012 London Olympics to develop the fastest aero suit on the planet, the Fenomento. Many of the technologies created for this garment are now found within the T.neoPro_S7 shorts.
The T neoPro S7 shorts feature Assos' new 'Goldengate'. In previous generations of shorts, the insert was fixed to the shorts around its entire perimeter, the stitching that holds the S7's insert in place is interrupted between the legs allowing for greater freedom, reduced friction and overall improved riding comfort.
Odourcontrol technology keeps the whiff of sweat at bay and AbrasionProtec has been refined and improved from its S5 version, providing a smooth and comfortable in the saddle ride.
Comfort is further provided with memory foam padding, returning the pad to its original shape when changing position on the saddle.
Patented Assos Waffle system has also been further developed from the S5, using perforated foam, lighter and more breathable than ever before. The Waffle is moisture wicking and ultimately more hygienic.
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling apparel, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle.
During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fiber bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time. To this day Assos firmly believe in total product competence, delivering optimum function and comfort, by researching and making its cycling apparel and accessories from the very best materials.
