The 16th edition of The Lost Sheep will take place on the 1st of September 2018. As usual this race will double up as the Irish National Middle Distance Championships.

Since its inception in 2003 it has gained a reputation both nationally and internationally as the toughest half iron distance race on the Irish triathlon circuit. Traditionally staged in late August / early September, each year the event starts with a 1900m swim in the scenic Kenmare Bay. This is followed by an 83km cycle and a 21km run!

220 Triathlon Magazine have listed The Lost Sheep as the 6th toughest half distance triathlon!

As ever The Lost Sheep is known for its excellent organisation, dedicated and friendly marshals and its outstanding value for money. It may be known as quite a tough course however the lost sheep is now world recommended for its beautiful scenery, the fantastic goodie bag and the towel, food and massage service at the finish line!

Registration will be in late March and early April, in 2 phases. Going by other years you will need to be fast as this race tends to fill up quite quickly!
