Shimano GRX is the first dedicated component system designed for gravel bikes by a leading manufacturer of bike technology. The Shimano GRX range was introduced in 2019 to bridge the gap between components for road bikes, as seen in the Shimano 105 range, and components for mountain bikes, which make up the Shimano Deore and XT ranges. The GRX collection is intended to combine the best of both of these, providing efficiency on the road as well as the integrity you need for gravel riding.

The Shimano GRX range incorporates a wider gear range, with options for one or two drivetrains, so you can choose between rugged simplicity and more gear options to help you handle the hills. This range can support a wide range of cassettes to give you the edge when you’re climbing steep trails, and the MTB style derailleur is designed to prevent the chain from bouncing on the roughest terrain. This range is all about giving you options, compatible with wide or flared handlebars, and the textured brake hoods and levers offer improved grip in wet conditions and when wearing gloves.
